Procession
of San Felice

The first procession by night :
About 10 in the evening, the festivities start with the procession
of saint Felix in the light of the candles through all the village. The
Saint is then left at the church (1) :
it is
a important emotional moment for all the persons who attend there.
The procession takes place in silence to the knolling of the church
bells. The parish priest sings while his voice is relayed by
loudspeakers
carried by children (2,3). A great
religious
enthusiasm emerges from this procession, strengthened by the night
atmosphere.
The course is longer and different from that of the procession of the
next day but that allows everyone to see the passing of the Saint.
Thus some old persons of the old people's home near the capelle saw
the procession (3) .
It is only towards midnight that the procession finishes while
returning
to the church, a Mass celebrated by the priest of the parish will
continue.
Silence is also customary at the time of the return of the Saint in
the church to take up again its initial place while but applause greets
the priest of the parish at the time of his entry in the church.
